La Cogullada (el Montmell, Baix Penedès) durant els segles X-XIII. Estudi territorial d'una senyoria feudal.

Abstract

[cat] Aquest treball final de grau és un estudi històric i arqueològic sobre la senyoria feudal de la Cogullada, al terme castral del Montmell (Baix Penedès), a l’antic comtat de Barcelona, en el període comprès entre el segle X i el XIII. Té com a objectius principals: fer visible el patrimoni material de la zona; establir l’organització del terme des del punt de vista espacial i jurídic; definir l’estructura socioeconòmica i les principals estratègies d’explotació dels recursos del nínxol ecològic de la comunitat humana que hi habitava; i comprendre la dinàmica evolutiva del territori en el lapse cronològic esmentat. Es parteix de la hipòtesi que el terme de l’actual caseria de Can Ferrer de la Cogullada es configurà amb anterioritat a l’any 1000 arran del «canvi feudal» de la Marcha penedesenca i s’ha mantingut de manera quasi inalterada fins a l’actualitat. A l’hora de realitzar el treball s’han tingut en compte una varietat molt diversa de fonts d’informació (documentals, arqueològiques, cartogràfiques, etnogràfiques i toponímiques) per tal de cobrir al màxim els buits informatius de cadascun dels objectius plantejats. Les fonts s’han contrastat de manera sistemàtica i crítica amb l’objectiu de superar el biaix interpretatiu que hauria suposat utilitzar-les separadament. I pel que fa a la metodologia, s’han seguit les fases següents: fer un buidatge bibliogràfic i documental per tal de conèixer l’estat de la qüestió actual del tema; dur a terme diferents tasques de treball de camp amb la intenció de recollir tot tipus de dades; i analitzar les dades mitjançant programes de bases de dades i sistemes d’informació geogràfica (SIG) a fi d’extreure conclusions històriques sòlides i argumentades.

[eng] This final work of our degree is a historical and archaeological study on the feudal Lordship of the Cogullada, in the Castral Term of el Montmell (Baix Penedès), in the old County of Barcelona, in the period between the 10th and 13th centuries. Its main objectives are: making the material heritage of the area visible; establishing the organization of the term from the spatial and legal points of view; defining the socioeconomical structure and the main strategies of exploitation of the resources of the ecological niche by the human community that inhabited this place; and understanding the evolutionary dynamics of the territory in the mentioned chronological period. This work is based on the hypothesis that the term of the small village of Can Ferrer de la Cogullada was formed before the Year 1000 due to the “Feudal Revolution” of the March of Penedès and it has remained almost unchanged until today. At the time of the work, a very diverse variety of information sources (documentary, archaeological, cartographic, ethno-graphic and toponymic) have been taken into account in order to cover to the maximum the informative gaps of each one of the objectives set. The sources have been contrasted systematically and critically in order to overcome the interpretative bias that it would have supposed using them separately. And with regard to the methodology, we have been followed next phases: making a bibliographic and documentary emptying in order to know the state of question of the subject today; carrying out different tasks of fieldwork with the intention of collecting all kinds of data; and analyzing data through database programs and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) with the aim of extracting solid and argued historical conclusions.
